Hello and thank you for signing up to receive our updates! This season I am attempting to make regular posts so that I can share not only farm updates but also some gardening and flower growing advice. I have always wanted to begin writing a consistent newsletter or blog but I have found it hard to have the time during the hectic growing season. The down time this winter really has me excited for the upcoming season though, and I have made a list of topics that I would like to share with you. But as always, please let us know though if there are any certain things you would like to know more about.
I am also working on some exciting new farm events for the season that I will share with you very soon! As a newsletter subscriber, you will be first to know about these events.
As for the flower farm, this season is off to a good start. If you follow us on social media then you have probably seen that our anemones have begun to bloom. These flowers are a favorite of mine, although I think I say that about all my flowers, ha! They help remind me that spring is coming soon as they are the first to bloom. I love their fuzzy little centers and the variety and uniqueness of colors.
We are also starting to see a lot of ranunculus buds. It won't be long now until we are harvesting armloads of these blooms. If you would like to get your hands on some of our spring flowers, we will let you know soon when and where they will be available in the next few weeks. Right now you may see our anemones in florist shops around the Cincinnati area.
In my blog post next week, I will share with you how we go about winter garden/landscape cleanup!
Thanks for reading and happy gardening!
Tracey Rae
